We are a geographically and culturally diverse research team working on crop genetics at Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Pisa, Italy. We focus on the genomic exploration of crop genetic resources, using quantitative genetics to develop tools for modern breeding.

We like cereals, but we study other crops from time to time. Key areas of research include multiparental populations, adaptation genomics, and breeding methods for smallholder agriculture.
